What is Redensyl®?

Extracted from natural plant using patented manufacturing method, Redensyl® is a breakthrough hair growth stimulant that targets hair growth at cellular level by activating the proliferation of hair follicle stem cells and to boost the metabolism of derma papilla fibroblasts. Redensyl® won the in-cosmetics 2014 Innovation Silver Award as the best cosmetic ingredient alternative to hair transplantation surgery (Source: Redensyl Cosmetic Award).   

Redensyl® is a synergistic blend of four active ingredients (Dihydroquercetin-glucoside (DHQG), Epigallocatechin gallate-glucoside (EGCG2), Glycine and Zinc) that reactivate the bulge stem cells (ORSc) and derma papilla (HFDPc) to stimulate hair growth.

1. The DHQG molecule activates the a) division of hair follicle stem cells and allowing stem cells to maintain its differentiation properties, b) protects the stem cells from apoptosis by driving them towards anagen cycle and c) boosts the metabolism of dermal papilla fibroblasts.
2. The EGCG2 molecule reduces scalp inflammatory.
3. Glycine, a key amino acid for the hair, is an essential for the growth of hair shaft structure.
4. Zinc, an essential for cystin incorporation into keratin, allows the strengthening of hair shaft

Redensyl®: Targeting stem cells (ORSc) and derma papilla (HFDPc) to stimulate hair growth

Increase of hair follicle length (ex vivo Philpott test)

Redensyl® was tested at 1% versus Minoxidil at 1% as a benchmark reference to evaluate its potential on hair follicle growth. Hairs of male donors suffering from alopecia were maintained alive in normal hair culture conditions. After 7 and 10 days hair growth was measured compared to day 0 with pictures analysis.

Results: Redensyl® increases hair growth by +214% compared to untreated, and shows almost two times higher results than Minoxidil, the benchmark reference.

Clinical Efficacy of Redensyl® 3 %

The efficacy of Redensyl® 3% was evaluated in a double-blind test versus a placebo. Volunteers having Norwood III to IV was applied with 3.5 ml of hair lotion daily everyday on the scalp (whole head) with no rinsing after application for 84 days.  After 3 months of treatment, Redensyl® 3% significantly increased the percentage of hairs in anagen phase (by about +9%) and decreased the percentage of hairs in telogen phase (by about -17%).

The average density of hair for all volunteers after 3 months of treatment with Redensyl® 3% was +17 hair/cm² (representing +10,200 hairs for a 600 cm² scalp surface). An average 10,000 new hairs were observed after 84 days of treatment with up to 28,200 new hairs. 85% of the volunteers were responders to the treatment and shown significant and visible hair growth after 3 months of Redensyl® treatment.
